Full-Time Community Living Director: Charleston, IL

In Charleston, Illinois, we are seeking a Community Living Director. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining an atmosphere of quality, independence, fun, community and person-centered services for individuals living in a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA).

Responsibilities include: 

  • Oversee a caseload of either two four-bed homes, or one eight bed home.
  • Develop an implementation strategy that meets the outcomes in each person’s plan, and monitor implementation regularly. 
  • Coordinate and oversee individual participation in the community, including special events and memberships.
  • Maintain an active presence within the home to ensure that the operation is meeting the standards of CTF ILLINOIS and meeting the needs and choices of the individuals that reside there.
  • Hire, train, support and manage a team of Direct Care Professionals (DSPs).
  • Coordinate with nursing and other professional staff to ensure the health of each individual is communicated, maintained, and documented.
  • Ensure the overall cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the home, including coordinating required maintenance, safety inspections and emergency drills.
  • Adhere to each home’s budgetary requirement in the areas of staffing levels, supplies, equipment and utilities.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current Federal, State, and membership regulations and compliance, DHS, CQL, OIG, HIPPA, OSHA, labor laws, as well as other professional standards, and ensure regulatory compliance.


  • BA/BS Degree in a human services Field
  • Qualified as a QIDP
  • Minimum 1 year experience with people with developmental disabilities
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record is required
  • Previous management/QIDP experience preferred

Registered Nurse (RN): Lincoln, IL

Would you like a nursing position where you have daily contact with the people for whom you are caring?  The opportunity to develop ongoing relationships with them?  Without shift-work?

CTF ILLINOIS needs a full-time Registered Nurse to coordinate medical services for individuals with developmental disabilities in local group homes in Lincoln, Illinois. The RN performs general health assessments, first aid, and ordered treatment. The nurse will work with residents and train staff members on self-administration of medication.

Full-Time 8 hour days, Weekdays during typical business hours, with limited on-call for phone triage evenings and periodically scheduled weekends. Company phone and mileage reimbursement provided.

Requires Illinois RN license with minimum one year experience.  Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Typical Job Duties Include:

  • Perform routine health assessments and checks.
  • Monitor general medical status, including effects of medication changes.
  • Maintain documentation of medical services, periodic/annual medical appointments, and medical history.
  • Process physician’s orders, delivery of medications and MARs according to regulations and company policy.
  • Screen individuals for admission into programs and residences.
  • Provide occasional training as required.
  • Participate on committees representing nursing interests.

Requires a basic user knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,etc.), and/or other PC applications.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in providing quality services and programming to enhance each person's skill development, health, freedom, and personal dignity
  • Coordinate and monitor the overall plan of care as directed by state and federal regulations
  • Develop and implement goals for each adult receiving services 
  • Ensure services are ongoing and consistent with goals established
  • Complete daily documentation related to implementation of the ISP for people receiving services
  • Conduct routine and frequent observations at Day Training programs (internal and external) when people receiving services are present
  • Provide guidance to direct care employees regarding employee performance
  • Share on-call rotations and respond to calls in a timely manner


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with DD population
  • Previous QIDP certification preferred, but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Current valid DL with acceptable driving record required.
