ABOUT LAWRENCEVILLE DAY PROGRAM
Charleston Transitional Facility in Lawrenceville is a developmental training program providing a structured environment, work, and/or continuing educational opportunities to individuals who are developmentally disabled and who reside in Lawrence or surrounding counties. CTF offers a regular daily schedule within which we blend work, learning, and social activities. This provides opportunity for both personal choice and responsibility. Individuals attending this program receive training in areas such as daily living skills, personal goals, sensory enhancement, communication, and vocational skills.
Vocational opportunities include janitorial, lawn care, laundry, food service, vehicle maintenance, and various service jobs. Our goal is to enrich the lives of those who attend our day program and maximize their potential. We do so by providing classroom activities such as music, exercise/fitness, spa/relaxation, arts and crafts, sign language, and self advocacy.
