Eastgate and its van are both wheelchair accessible. This home is licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services to provide residential supports and services to 8 people. Individuals receive 24-hour supervision and individual service plans. CTF also offers day training opportunities just minutes away in historic downtown Charleston.

Movies, restaurants, and bowling are popular activities, as is fishing at Lake Charleston and attending cultural and fine arts events at the university. They participate in local and state Special Olympic events and often go out of town to attend concerts or go shopping. CTF has also developed opportunities for increased interaction with EIU students through Gym Rec., hosted by students in the Therapeutic Recreation Department and through the Best Buddies Program where individuals develop friendships with EIU students.
